Josh Oxenhandler

Josh Oxenhandler has been practicing law in Columbia for the past decade, helping families and local businesses.  With experience in the Courtroom and at the settlement table, Josh understands that the process of delivering results and protecting client interests is complex and diverse.  Josh is a Columbia native and grew up in and around the legal community.  Josh practices in the areas of family law, business law and estate planning. 

In family law, protecting children, dividing assets and creating a workable future are the important factors that Josh prioritizes and protects to help clients work through challenging situations.  Josh is committed to ensuring that his clients are informed, prepared and given the tools that will help them succeed.  

Josh represents many local businesses that are making an impact on our economy and quality of life for mid-Missouri.  Making sure that businesses have all of the tools they need to succeed and protect their assets is his top priority.  Starting a business, running a business or selling a business, Josh provides his clients with support, information and technology to help his clients succeed. 

Protecting wealth is a top priority that our clients expect from a superior law firm.  Analysis, research, smart tax planning, and excellent estate planning, are tools Josh has utilized for the past decade to make sure his clients are at the forefront of wealth protection and wealth succession.   An estate plan that addresses all of a clients basic needs; a trust to protect a clients minor children, or a generation-skipping or Sentinel Trust to protect a client with extraordinary assets, Josh has experience ensuring that his clients have every tool at their disposal  to protect their assets.

Practicing in every Courtroom in central Missouri, including the Court of Appeals, Josh has the experience to defend his clients rights wherever the need may arise.

During the course of his professional life, Josh has remain committed to this community, serving on the Board of Directors of numerous local not-for-profits and helping to shape the ideals of our growing community.  Giving back to the community that he and his wife, Kim, have grown up in, is an important commitment for the Oxenhandlers.  Josh continues to engage in local community endeavors, serving as the legal liaison for the Phoenix Programs, the Susan Komen Breast Cancer Foundation,   the True/False Film Festival, Ragtag Theater, Roots’n’Blues’BBQ and the Heart of Missouri United Way.
